Want your baby to ride in style? Check out this $5,000 baby stroller by Lamborghini
A century-old British baby stroller maker has teamed up with the Italian sport-car manufacturer to create a luxury pram.

Silver Cross describes its strollers as the “Rolls-Royce of prams”, but the baby-transportation company has teamed up with another luxury car maker to create a “super stroller” that retails for a sum most parents will balk at.
Silver Cross, a century-old British pram maker that credits its founder, William Wilson, as the inventor of “the world’s first baby carriage”, has joined forces with the Italian sports-car manufacturer Lamborghini to release the “automotive-inspired” Reef AL Arancio.
How does the Lamborghini stroller’s price compare to regular prams?
Described by Silver Cross as heralding a “new era” in the stroller market, the Reef AL Arancio is priced at $5,500.
That’s around six times the price of New York magazine’s recent pick for the best baby stroller on the market: the Uppababy Vista, which is currently available for $900, a price which itself is hardly insignificant.
“Sleek, dynamic lines inspired by the [Lamborghini] vehicle’s foundations are embodied into the super stroller’s unique fabrics and framework for ultimate synergy, with a breathtaking angular bassinet, sculpted automotive-style seat and origami storage basket,” Silver Cross says.
“A design with strong personality, Reef AL Arancio incorporates automotive-inspired materials at every touchpoint – high performance suede, Italian leather details and a high gloss polycarbonate bassinet with integrated mesh for ultimate performance.”
Silver Cross, which says it has provided prams for children in the British royal family, as well as the offspring of Princess Grace of Monaco, adds that the Reef AL Arancio will be a limited-edition product: only 500 will be made.
“Better feed the baby, change diapers and babysit”
As news of the Silver Cross-Lamborghini collaboration emerged this week, the stunned reaction of one TV host was: “Does it fly?”
Writing in Yanko Design, the product-design expert Sarang Seth has argued that the creation of the Reef AL Arancio may seem like a hare-brained extravagance, but is in fact a response to the changing demographics of baby-stroller buyers.
“With fertility rates dropping and parents having fewer children at older ages, there’s a growing market for ultra-premium baby gear,” Seth says.
However, social-media users largely appear to share the aforementioned TV presenter’s feelings.
“It better feed the baby, change diapers and babysit,” the TikToker @babygirlnava said, while on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, @LamikaJoel wrote: “I should be rich to throw so much money out the window.”
Another X user, @BrianFromWork, concluded: “I can hardly think of a bigger waste of money than this. Consumerism has people in a chokehold.”
