What are Boo Buckets and how can I get one from McDonald's in October 2024?
McDonald’s has brought back its Happy Meals Boo Buckets in time for the Halloween season. How can you get one and what colors are available?
McDonald’s has brought back its Boo Buckets that trick-or-treaters can use to collect candy on Halloween. The fast food giant first introduced the pails in 1986 as part of their Halloween-themed Happy Meals. The candy holders have been brought back intermittently over the years to celebrate the spooky season.
These festive plastic buckets were given to children instead of the standard Happy Meal box and featured three original designs: McBoo, a ghost; McPunk’n, a pumpkin; and McGoblin, a witch. The Boo Buckets come with stickers so children can customize them. This year’s designs do not resemble specific monsters, so kids have more leeway to make them more unique.

How can I get a Boo Bucket from McDonald’s in October 2024?
The Boo Buckets come in four colors. Just like last year, they will come in white, orange, and green, although the purple ones will be replaced by blue pails.
They will take the place of the Happy Meal’s usual cardboard box while supplies last. The price of the bucket will vary depending on the store’s location, and on which meal the customer will purchase.
Happy Meals include a choice between a hamburger, a 4-piece or 6-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, and all options come with either a side of fries or apple slices and a drink. Diners may order them in the restaurant or through the McDonald’s app.
Boo Buckets are available in McDonald’s locations throughout the county until Oct. 31, or until supplies run out.
