The Hallmark channel alone is offering 40 this year, sure to be classics in their own right.

However, if you’re not into cheesy romance holiday films there is something new for every taste in 2022. Here’s a look at some of the best picks from of Apple TV+, Disney+, Netflix, HBO Max and Prime Video.

When the Ghost of Christmas Present picks the wrong Scrooge the tables get turned on the holiday specter and he finds himself getting a ‘Spirited’ look back on his own Christmas past, present and future.

A Christmas Story Christmas (HBO Max)

Peter Billingsley is back as Ralph Parker, the unfortunate holiday humbug, in ‘A Christmas Story Christmas’. It’s 1973 and he has returned to his childhood home on Cleveland Street with his two kids. The sequel to the 1983 classic ‘A Christmas Story’ has Ralphie taking over the duties of being his family’s Father Christmas to ensure a magical Christmas like those of his youth.

Something From Tiffany’s (Prime Video)

Kendrick Sampson and Zoey Deutsch lead this romantic Christmas comedy. ‘Something From Tiffany’s’ is the case of a gift mix-up, an engagement ring meant for another woman, that results in surprises and life changes.

Falling for Christmas (Netflix)

Scrooge: A Christmas Carol (Netflix)

Another take on Charles Dickens’ timeless tale ‘A Christmas Carol’, this musical animated adaptation “is one for a new generation to sing,” according to Netflix. The music was reimagined by two-time Academy Award Leslie Bricusse. The critics have been hard on ‘Scrooge: A Christmas Carol’ but the public reviews have been positive.

Mickey Saves Christmas (Disney+)

Mickey Saves Christmas’ sees the loveable Disney Mickey Mouse gang attempting to “celebrate the perfect Christmas at their snowy cabin” when Pluto being Pluto nearly botches the holiday for literally every soul on Earth.
