The manager for BeatKing has announced that the Houston-based rapper and producer, also known as Club Godzilla, has passed away.
The Houston rap and club music scene is mourning the loss of Justin Riley, aka BeatKing, also known as Club Godzilla. His manager Tasha Felder announced his passing in a post on Instagram.
“Today, August 15, 2024, we have lost @Clubgodzilla. BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists, that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters @clubgodparenting, his music and his fans. We will love him forever,” read her post.
The Houston-based rapper and producer was behind tracks like ‘Scream’ and his most recent chart success ‘Then Leave’. He rose to prominence in 2010 with the release of ‘Kings of the Club’ and was a driving force behind the underground scene in Houston. His music became the soundtrack for the club scene.

Media outlets are now reporting that the cause of the 39-year-old’s death was a pulmonary embolism. BeatKing is survived by his daughters.
