A video has been released of Disney Senior Vice President Michael Giordano speaking on the hiring practices of Walt Disney Company, which he says discriminates against white males.

In the video posted by James O’Keefe, founder of right wing group Project Veritas, Giordano appeared to be answering questions fielded by an undercover journalist. Giordano, an attorney, said that he has heard it directly said within the organization that this specific demographic would not be hired for certain roles.

“Certainly there have been times where… there’s no way we’re hiring a white male for this,” he said.

Giordano says anti-white male policy affects his own career advancement

Giordano also spoke about how this policy affects his own personal prospects for moving up in the company.

“I think I’m for of well-prepared for it, I’m well-positioned for it, but as far as Disney is concerned I’m a white male, and that’s not who they’re looking to promote at the moment.”

Giordano said he has been in the company for more than a decade and he has made friends at the human resources department who have told him that some promotions are just not available to him. He said they’ve told him, “They’re not considering any white males for this job. They’re just not. That’s not who they want.”

The lawyer also talked about how they were considering a man who was half-black for a certain post, but implied he was not hired because he didn’t appear half-black. He claimed that other executives wanted the person to “appear a certain way.”
