McDonald’s spinoff restaurant, beverage-led subchain CosMc’s, has launched an app through which its loyal customers can join its new rewards program.

The retro chain opened its first location in Bolingbrook, Illinois in December, and has inaugurated a few other branches in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since then.

The company intends to open even more locations this year, and to attract more customers as it expands, the chain has launched the CosMc’s Club through its new app.

What are the rewards club benefits of CosMc’s, McDonald’s retro spinoff?

To encourage clients to sign up, the restaurant is giving all new members a free medium “mood-boosting” drink upon joining. Club members will also be given a free cookie or brownie on their birthday.

Similar to the McDonald’s app, CosMc’s follows a reward system where a one dollar purchase gives the diner 10 points. When you’ve collected 400 points, members can redeem them for a cash value of two dollars. If you do the math, this means you get two dollars back for every $40 that you spend.

Downloading the app will also allow customers to finally make use of mobile ordering for the first time.

What is CosMc’s?

McDonald’s calls CosMc’s a “small-format, beverage-led concept” that is “powered by a menu of bold, refreshing beverages and tasty treats.”

The stars of CosMc’s’ menu are its beverages, ranging from frappés to cold brews, to boba teas. However, it offers a limited line-up of food choices unique to the chain such as the Spicy Queso Sandwich and the Creamy Avocado Tomatillo Sandwich. CosMc’s has also included a few McDonald’s favorites on the menu.

The chain intends to open a total of 10 locations by the end of the year, most of them in the Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio metro areas.

For now, you can try this new concept in the following branches.

  • 285 N Weber Rd, Bolingbrook, Illinois (drive-thru)
  • 6033 Campbell Rd, Dallas, Texas (drive-thru, walk-up)
  • 7304 Denton Hwy, Watauga, Texas (drive-thru, walk-up)
  • 300 E Abram St, Arlington, Texas (walk-up)
