How much is the Powerball jackpot?
Heading into Wednesday’s drawing, the Powerball jackpot had climbed to an estimated $100 million, with a $45.8 million cash option. Given that there were no tickets that matched all six numbers, however, the grand prize has now rolled over to an estimated $118 million. The cash option has risen to $53.9 million.

The next Powerball drawing is scheduled to take place at 10:59 p.m. ET/7:59 p.m. PT on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
What are a player’s odds of winning the Powerball jackpot?
According to the lottery’s organizers, a single Powerball ticket - which can be purchased for $2 - comes with a one in 292,201,338 chance of scooping the pot.
If you do win the jackpot, you are given two options:
- Collect the full amount in growing annual instalments spread over 29 years
- Receive the smaller, cash-option figure as an up-front, lump-sum payment
While the jackpot captures the headlines, there are also numerous smaller amounts to be won. Secondary prizes range from $4 to $1 million or more, depending on how many winning numbers a player matches.
Non-jackpot prizes can be multiplied by adding the Power Play option for an additional $1.
