What is Jesse Watter’s net worth? Everything to know about Tucker Carlson’s replacement on Fox News

Jesse Watters has made a name for himself during his two decades at Fox News and is now being tapped to take over Tucker Carlson’s primetime slot.

Update:
Jesse Watters who replaced Tucker Carlson has been a part of Fox News for years, but his new primetime slot has landed him with a major pay increase.

A new host to take over the primetime slot left empty by the departure of Tucker Carlson has been selected: Jesse Watters. Like Carlson, Watters is a contentious figure who has been at the center of several controversies over his career at Fox News.

Watters has made his political ideology very clear over the years

The soon-to-be primetime host has a clear far-right ideological bias. Earlier this month, while the hosts of The Five were discussing the issue of homelessness, Watters provided his two cents, arguing that the issue “is not about a lack of affordable housing, it’s about drug addicts that want to wander around, and live in tents on the sidewalk.” The lack of affordable housing is one of many drivers of homeless, as is addiction. Still, Watters’ worldview (either authentic or constructed for entertainment purposes) chalks the crisis up to individual failings. So what is Watters’ solution? “You can’t coddle anti-social behavior, you can’t subsidize anti-social behavior, you have to stigmatize it,” he stated. A very callous solution to a problem that Watters fails to understand at a very fundamental level.

What shows has Watters hosted at Fox News?

Watters is not new to Fox News; he actually joined the network after graduating from Trinity College with a degree in history in 2001. In 2004 Watters began making on-air appearances, mostly on The O’Reilly Factor, another show that aired in the timeslot he will now take over.

Ten years after his first appearance on The O’Reilly Factor, he was offered a permanent role on the daytime news show Outnumbered. 2017 was a big year for Watters; he became a co-host of The Five alongside Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, and Jeanine Pirro, and he was offered his own show, Watters World, which aired on Saturdays at 8 pm ET—last year, made his debut in the weekday primetime lineup, with Jesse Watters Primetime which aired at 7 pm ET.

This year, Watters’ show will be moved to 8 pm ET to take over the space left vacant by Carlson... big shoes to fill, considering the large and dedicated audience his predecessor was able to amass during his tenure.

What is Jesse Watters’ net worth?

Estimates on Watters’ net worth online range widely, from Celebrity Net Worth placing the figure around $5 million, while others estimate that TV personality to be worth nearly $100 million. The more conservative estimates are more likely to be accurate, considering that Tucker Carlson, one of the most successful hosts at Fox News, has a net worth of around $30 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
