What is Robert Kennedy Jr.’s electoral program and what are his proposals for the USA?
His views on vaccination have won him support with the far right, while some Republicans have warned conservatives that Kennedy espouses liberal and radical values. A look at his program of action gives a glimpse of where he stands on the political spectrum.
Here are some of the programs he has outlined for the US.
Economy
According to Kennedy’s campaign website, the guiding principle of his economic policies is that hard-working people should be able to afford a decent life. To make this a reality, he proposes raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour and helping labor organize so they can negotiate fair salaries
He also wants to expand free childcare to millions of families, as well as bring down housing costs by $1,000 per family. Home ownership would be made affordable by backing 3% mortgages with tax-free bonds.
Health
Kennedy says he wishes to reverse what he calls a “chronic disease epidemic” that is costing families and the economy trillions of dollars by making health services available to all. He also wants to cut drug costs by half.
He aims to set up addiction healing centers in organic farms across the United States. This is part of what he calls alternative and holistic therapies that have fallen by the wayside because of the domination of big pharma.

Foreign policy
Kennedy says he will cut military spending by ending participation in wars like the one in Ukraine. He has stated his belief that the US should reduce military presence in other parts of the world.
