What is Space X’s launch schedule for June 2024?

Space X will start the summer off with a bang. The space exploration company has planned various launches next month.

These vary from Starlink Missions, which will help bolster and expand the satellite internet service, to the first mission of the Polaris program, which will include the company’s first commercial spacewalk.

These two Starlink missions have had a launch date set, but various others are still expected to take place in June, but no date has been assigned:

Early in the month, on 5 June, Space X planned the Integrated Flight Test 4 Mission. The mission will launch from Starbase in Texas at 7:00 am CDT.

Advancements on the Polaris Dawn Mission

The Polaris Dawn Mission, which includes the spacewalk, will take off from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Overview in mid-June, according to RocketLaunch.org. The website dedicated to the program describes it as “a first-of-its-kind effort to rapidly advance human spaceflight capabilities while continuing to raise funds and awareness for important causes here on Earth.” The name is inspired by the constellation, which “has been a guiding light throughout human history to help navigate the world around us and the sky above.” The project’s objectives are ambitious, with those backing the program hoping that one day, their efforts will allow for human exploration of the Moon, Mars, and much more. Though RocketLaunch believes that the mission is planned for June, no official dates have been confirmed on the program’s official website.

Collaboration with NASA continues

Later in the month, on 25 June, Space X will launch the GOES-U Mission.

This mission forms part of a larger project Space X is working on with NASA and will include the launch of the GOES-U satellite, an enhanced weather satellite developed by NASA.
