What is Tucker Carlson’s net worth? What was the conservative commentator’s salary at Fox News?
The right-wing TV journalist will be able to get by until another job comes up after making a seven-figure salary during his time on the rightist news outlet

Carlson started working for Fox News in 2009. He began on the ‘Fox and Friends Weekend’ show in 2012 and then started his ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ show in 2016. The company owned by Rupert Murdouch made its decision public today explaining that Carlson’s last show was on Friday, April 21, 2023. “FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” according to the news outlet’s statement.
Details are still coming in on why the company decided to let their star host go, but it comes shortly after the network settled a lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems. Fox News paid $787 million to avoid going to court. The defamation suit was filed against the news corporation for claiming the company had helped rig the 2020 presidential election in favor of Joe Biden
Tucker Carlson’s net worth and salary at Fox News
According to Yahoo News, Carlson made $8 million per year while he was employed at Fox News. The same source puts the conservative TV host’s net worth at $30 million. His departure from the right-wing media group comes shortly after documents were released in which he criticized Trump for his claiming the 2020 election was rigged. The settlement with Dominion was also related to the two parties deciding to call it quits. The situation between Carlson and his employer could not continue any longer, despite the TV host’s popularity with the Republican voters.
Fox News may already be regretting firing Carlson as its stock has taken a plunge today:
