The Pope's first New Year's Mass can be followed live on the Vatican News website. Likewise, the Mass can be attended free of charge at the Vatican.

The Vatican’s Office for Liturgical Celebrations has released the full schedule of Christmas and New Year events that Pope Leo will lead this season. On January 1, the Pope will celebrate his first New Year’s Mass, marking the start of 2026 alongside Christians around the world.
The tradition takes place inside St. Peter’s Basilica, where residents of Rome and nearby areas can attend the Mass free of charge — though advance reservations are strongly recommended due to high demand.
Later in the season, Pope Leo will preside over the final Christmas‑related celebration on January 6. Beginning at 3:30 a.m. ET, he will lead the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord, which also includes the Closing of the Holy Door and a full Eucharistic celebration.
