The music world is in shock after it was revealed that Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of Elvis Presley, passed away this Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest. Lisa Marie, daughter of legend Elvis Presley, unfortunately lost her life at the age of just 54.

Lisa Marie Presley: what happened?

Lisa had been admitted to hospital on Thursday morning. As reported by TMZ, Marie was found at around 10:30 in her bedroom by one of the housekeepers, who called the emergency medical services so that they could attend to her immediately. Help took six minutes to arrive at the residence in Calabasas, California, where Lisa Marie was living.

Speaking to the Associated Press, a spokesman for the local fire department said Elvis Presley’s daughter was not breathing when she was treated by paramedics at her home. Subsequently, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office specified in a statement that the emergency services performed a cardiopulmonary resuscitation massage on her. Reports indicate that Lisa did have her vital signs at the time she was taken to the hospital.

Last Tuesday, 10 January, Lisa was seen at the Golden Globes gala, accompanying Austin Butler, who gave life to Elvis Presley in the recent movie.

Priscila Presley, mother of Lisa Marie and ex-wife of Elvis Presley, was the one who reported the unfortunate loss of Lisa on her social media account. That was how she expressed it with just a few brief words.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
