What’s up with Google as Drive, YouTube etc stop working?
The tech giant was having some problems on Friday and we wanted to know what was happening...
You could say we’re rather reliant on the technology behemoth Google and all the handy products and tools that it provides. Well, all that means is that when it goes down, we all get hit... and collectively cross our fingers for a quick solution.
Google’s down, what next???
That’s exactly what happened on Friday afternoon and users took to Twitter, among other social media platforms, to find out more. Some even tried out Bing!
Despite some claims that it was a worldwide impact the conversations that developed quickly highlighted that it was more localised, with some jumping onto a VPN solution to get around it.
#Google is completely down. None of the websites/apps are working. Youtube's out, Gmail too. Even the search engine doesn't respond. I think it's the first time in 20 years of browsing the internet that I see that.
