Pre-Prime Day deals from Amazon
Starting 21 June, customers can shop early Prime Day deals along with their favorite celebrities and influencers, including Joe and Frank Mele, Lala Kent and Porsha Williams. The same day shoppers can start buying products from small businesses that sell their ware through the retail behemoth’s online marketplace and get a chance to win epic prizes.
For every one dollar spent on eligible small business products, customers will be entered in a sweepstakes drawing. Some of the prizes include a pre-game experience and tickets to Super Bowl LVII, VIP passes to music experiences in Los Angeles and Las Vegas and tickets to a special New York City screening and cast meet-and-greet for Prime Video’s upcoming The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series, but the list doesn’t end there. Amazon will also be giving out hundreds of thousands of gift cards.
To make it easier to find small brands and artisans, Amazon has put a new Small Business Badge on the site. For those who want to get to know some small business owners, they can watch Amazon Live Shopping with Hilary Duff on 28 June at 1 pm ET. She’ll present some of her favorites who will showcase their products as well as share inspiring stories behind their brands.

What is Prime Day?
Starting in 2015 as a deal-filled daylong event to celebrate the company’s 20th birthday it has since morphed into much more. Amazon has extended the one-day opportunity to a 48-hour shopping frenzy where the company offers its Amazon Prime members deals that can even outcompete Black Friday sale prices. Customers can find deals on a wide range of sought-after items. The deals can take the form of Lightning Deals to ones that have begun even before the main event.
Amazon Prime day deals are only available to Amazon Prime members to entice customers to sign up for the company’s $15 a month service. Between Prime Day, free shipping and additional services Amazon has added over the years, membership is booming. According to CEO Jeff Bezos as of April 2021 there were more than 200 million Prime members worldwide.
