When is the second part of The Bachelorette season 19 finale? Who are the men left?

Season 19 of The Bachelorette features two joint leads and as we pause midway through the finale, we’re now down to the final two contestants.

We’re now into the long-awaited final week of The Bachelorette Season 19. The ABC show returned on Tuesday 13 September for the first part of a two-episode grand finale.

Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia have spent the past ten weeks whittling down a group of 32 men to one Mr Right. Gabby, an ICU nurse from Illinois, and Rachel, a flight instructor from Florida, have had the largest group of candidates in the show’s history to choose from and have had to make dozens of eliminations to get to the final episode.

The second part of the season 19 finale will be aired on Tuesday 20 September at 8pm (ET).

Who is still in The Bachelorette season 19 finale?

The two-part finale began with four men still in the frame, but they were not divided evenly between the two girls. Rachel had three men remaining, while Gabby had just one.

Gabby has formed a close connection with Erich Schwer during the process and there are rumours that the pair may get engaged in the season finale of the show. Rachel has had a more difficult road to this point and was left with three candidates remaining ahead of the two-part finale: Aven Jones, Zach Shallcross and Tino Franco.

During Tuesday’s finale Zach decided that his feelings towards Rachel had changed, saying that he “felt like I was seeing ‘Bachelorette Rachel,’ not the real Rachel I had come to know and love.” Later in the episode some comments made by Aven about a prospective engagement came to light, suggesting that he was not as ready to settle down as he had previously suggested.

That was enough for Rachel to call it a day and Aven followed Zach through the hotel lobby. This means that the final two contestants in season 19 of The Bachelorette are Erich and Tino.

Why are there two Bachelorettes on this season?

This season of The Bachelorette has two joint leads. Both Gabby and Rachel have their own history on the show, having being runners up in season 26 of The Bachelor. The pair just missed out on Clayton Echard but were excited at the prospect of starring in a joint season after becoming close friends.

“It was a huge learning process for everyone because it was such new territory,” Gabby told People before the series aired. “But the experience Rachel and I had as Bachelorettes was so special and memorable. I don’t think we would have had it any other way.

“I think people do know at this point that we do each have our own love stories. Of course it was so nice to have each other to lean on and have that built-in support as we were moving through.” Rachel added, “It’s just really amazing. We both get to have our own journeys and our own stories, but still have each other along the way.”
