Additionally, its violent crime rate is more than four times the national average.
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles saw a significant 25% increase in reported violent crime since 2020. This translates to 45 reported violent crimes per thousand residents, while property crime increased by 57% last year. The authorities recommend not walking the streets late at night and making sure you move around with a companion.
