Where is Melania Trump? Why hasn’t she attended the Republican National Convention?
Donald Trump has been surrounded with his family members during the Republican National Convention. However, there are two notable exceptions.
The Republican National Convention kicked off on Monday with former President Donald Trump in attendance. Members of his family have been in attendance as well, including Don Jr, Eric and Tiffany as well as several of his grandchildren.
However, notable absences have been his eldest daughter Ivanka and his wife Melania.
Where is Melania Trump? Why hasn’t she attended the Republican National Convention?
Melania spoke at the previous two Republican National Conventions in 2016 and 2020 prior to her husband accepting the GOP presidential nomination. The spouse of the party’s nominee giving a speech at the national convention has been a tradition for decades.
However, this year she is not on the list of scheduled speakers. Despite this, she is expected to be present in Milwaukee on Thursday, the last day of the convention, to be there when her husband accepts the Republican presidential nomination for a third time.
Except for a press release on X, formerly known as Twitter, the day after the assassination attempt on Trump, the former first lady has been largely absent from social media. She also hasn’t made any public appearances since last month.
Ivanka and Jared Kushner, who have also been no-shows so far at the Republican National Convention, are also expected to make an appearance for the final day of the GOP nominating ceremony. Neither of them are scheduled to speak.
