Which political party did Elon Musk tell his Twitter followers to vote for in the 2022 Midterm Elections?

Elon Musk, Tesla Motor’s and Twitter’s new owner, encouraged Americans to vote, and it is the first time major social media CEO explicitly took a side too.

The new Twitter owner Musk backs Republicans on the eve of U.S. midterms. He decided, for the first time, from a power position that he held to engage in political lobbying with his recognizable pragmatic attitude.

He justified his declaration by insisting on a democratic balance between the president (dem.) and the Congres majority, which up until now was held by the Democrats.

The Republican party is favored to win a majority in this year’s Midterm Elections for the House of Representatives, with the Senate probably decided by nonpartisan voters, considering the proximity in the polls. Democrats now govern both houses.
