The Social Security Administration (SSA) continues to send out payments for July, and on Wednesday, July 10, the agency will distribute the third check of the month.

The SSA sends out monthly benefits to retired workers, survivors, and recipients of disability benefits, including Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Here are the beneficiaries who can expect their money on July 10.

Who gets a Social Security payment check on July 10?

As the payment schedule indicates, Supplemental Security Income payments were sent out on the first day of the month (Monday, July 1).

On Wednesday, July 3, the agency sent payments to people who began receiving their retirement benefits before May 1997. On July 10, checks will be sent to beneficiaries with a date of birth between the 1st and the 10th.

According to the SSA, average payments for retired workers increased to $1,900 per month this year thanks to the cost-of-living adjustment.

The rest of the payments will be sent on the third and fourth Wednesday of the month depending on the day of birth of the beneficiaries. This is the complete Social Security payment schedule for July:

  • Monday, July 1: SSI Beneficiaries
  • Wednesday, July 3: Beneficiaries who began receiving their payments before May 1997
  • Wednesday, July 10: Beneficiaries with a date of birth between the 1st and the 10th
  • Wednesday, July 17: Beneficiaries with a date of birth between the 11th and the 20th
  • Wednesday, July 24: Beneficiaries with a date of birth between the 21st and the 31st

Payments are sent via direct deposit to beneficiaries who have shared their bank account details with the Social Security Administration, or through the mail in a paper check, which takes longer to arrive. If you do not receive your money on the indicated date, the SSA recommends that you wait three more days to communicate with the agency to allow for mailing delays.
