Who is Fred Trump III, Donald Trump’s nephew who says he won’t vote for him?

The former president’s nephew harshly attacked Trump, accusing him of being a “racist, opportunist and xenophobe,” as well as a “ticking time bomb.”

Donald Trump has found an unexpected critic, and once again, it is a member of his extended family.

In mid-July, news broke that the former president would not be able to rely on the support of his nephew, Fred Trump III, in the 2024 presidential race. In an interview for the program The View, the former Fred Trump harshly attacked his uncle’s personality, calling him “racist” and “cruel.” The former president’s nephew also said that despite being family, he will not hesitate to give his vote to Kamala Harris’s campaign.

Though this is not the first time a family member has attacked Trump’s personality, this time is different.

Fred Trump has authored a book titled, ‘All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way,’ which includes some of the previously untold secrets of the Trump clan. During his promotional tour, Fred did not miss the opportunity to make a counter-campaign against his uncle. With a “sometimes complicated” relationship, Fred accuses the former president of being a “nuclear madman” who has “left his mark on the history of the family.”

Although no family is without its quirks, Fred accused his uncle of being an “opportunist” and described him as “crazy” Though many in the US became more familiar with Donald Trump when he became president, his nephew says that he has exhibited alarming traits for decades. However, the breaking point came when his son William, who has a severe disability that prevents him from leading a normal life, was ridiculed by his uncle. Fred attempted to establish a fund to assist people with similar challenges, but the former president dismissed the idea, stating that it was a “waste of money.” Fred Trump III remarked, “‘Your son doesn’t recognize you. Let him die and move to Florida,’” regarding the conversation he had with his uncle.

Who is Fred Trump III?

Fred Trump III was born in Manhattan in 1962 and is the eldest son of Fred Trump II. Fred II was the eldest son of businessman Fred Trump and the brother of Donald Trump.

The relationship between father and son had its ups and downs, as he highlights in his book. In 1999, after the passing of Fred Trump Sr. due to dementia, the former president’s nephews sued him, alleging that he had tampered with their grandfather’s will. In response, the family cut off all medical and financial support, leading to the decline in the health of William Trump, Fred III’s son, who has a serious disability. These events caused a serious rift in the family, all of which is described in his new book.
