Lollapalooza is back in Chicago’s Grant Park for the annual four-day festival. This year organisers have brought together some of the biggest names in music for the world-renowned show.

But with so many stellar acts on the lineup, knowing how and where to spend your time will be crucial.

This year’s Lollapalooza lineup is, as always, an eclectic offering with a combination of pop, rock, hip-hop and much more. The headliners for the 2022 edition are Metallica (Thursday), Dua Lipa (Friday), J. Cole (Saturday) and Green Day (Sunday).

Who are the ones to watch at Lollapalooza on Saturday?

On Saturday the T-Mobile Main Stage will be headlined by no other than J. Cole, the North Carolina-raised rapper and songwriter regarded as one of the most influential of his generation. He has won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Song, picked up Top Rap Album at the Billboard Music Award and all five of his albums have gone platinum.

J. Cole also headlined the festival in 2016, alongside Radiohead and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Once again he is Lollapalooza’s headlining rapper and he has built up an extensive collection of hip-hop crowd-pleasers in the past six years. His set is not one for rap fans to miss.

For music fans of a different inclination, Saturday also sees K-pop group TOMORROX X TOGETHER star on the Solana x Perry’s stage. The band, commonly known as TXT, debuted in 2019 and have attained a legion of avid followers around the world. They began their first global tour in October 2021 and are now considered one of the scene’s most prominent boy bands.

If J. Cole isn’t really your thing, the Saturday headliner on the Bud Light Seltzer stage is Danish DJ and producer Kygo, who has built up a huge online follower. In 2015 he became the fastest artist to reach one billion Spotify streams and has released a number of hugely popular singles. His 2019 remix of Steve Winwood’s ‘Higher Love’, with vocals by Whitney Houston, topped Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart.
