Why did Twitter change its logo to Dogecoin cryptocurrency symbol?
What is going on with Twitter?? Is it a Dogecoin collaboration in an attempt to gain much-needed revenue? Let’s take a look at what we know so far...
Those who logged into Twitter today may have noticed something a little different... It looks like the Twitter bird has been replaced by the mascot of the cryptocurrency Dogecoin.
What has Elon Musk said about the change?
Why exactly this change has been made is not yet known.
Musk tweeted that the change was made based on a promise he made to a user before he purchased Twitter.
Reporters at Reuters point to the ongoing legal issues faced by Musk, who stands accused by Dogecoin investors of racketeering. Musk’s legal team has asked that the suit be dismissed, defending their client, describing his tweets about Dogecoin as “innocuous” and “silly.” The investors say that Elon Musk ran a pyramid scheme that allowed him to rake in money by getting his followers on Twitter to purchase the cryptocurrency.
The stunt has sent the value of the coin soaring, but that does not mean much... rising from around $0.07 to $0.10.
What is the story behind the Dogecoin dog?
The Twitter account for Dogecoin has taken its time in the spotlight to introduce (or reintroduce) its mascot to users. Kabosu, the dog’s name, lives in Sakura, Japan, with its owner Atsuko Sato.
