Why will Apple’s artificial intelligence be delayed and when will it be available?
Apple’s decision to postpone the release of its much-anticipated artificial intelligence features has raised eyebrows.
Apple’s rollout of its artificial intelligence (AI) features, known as Apple Intelligence, has been delayed from September to October.
Initially announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, these features were expected to be integrated into the iPhone, iPad, and Mac with the release of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. However, the company has decided to push the release to October, according to Bloomberg.
The company has not yet commented publicly about the reports.
Reasons for the delay
Apple wants to ensure that the AI features are stable and relatively bug-free before their public release. This includes extensive testing and feedback from developers.
The company is preparing developer betas of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 to allow developers to test the new features and provide feedback.
When consumers can expect to receive the AI update
As mentioned, the initial rollout of Apple Intelligence is expected to begin with the release of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 in October. Some key AI features, particularly those related to Siri, will be rolled out later, with full capabilities expected to be available by early 2025.
