Wildfire in Geiger Heights: Which areas in Spokane County need to be evacuated?

Spokane County Emergency Management has issued a Level 3 Evacuation for Geiger Heights as the Grove Fire spreads north. Here where to evacuate immediately.

A brush fire southwest of Spokane in Geiger Heights that was originally half an acre near 7800 South Grove Rd has spread rapidly. It is currently estimated to be five acres spreading north causing Spokane County Emergency Management to issue a Level 3 Evacuation.

Authorities advised “GO, Leave NOW!” as of 2:51 pm local time on 11 June. They warn that this may be your only notice and that those in the evacuation area “must leave now due to the life-threatening conditions.”

Update: June 11, 2024 3:33pm: The Level 3 northern boundary has been extended North to 57th Ave, no other boundaries...

Wildfire in Geiger Heights: Which areas in Spokane County need to be evacuated?

Residents living to the west to Abbott and east to Dorset, north to Hallett and south to Morning Ln are urged to evacuate immediately. Currently, Cheney-Spokane road is being reopened for evacuations according to the Spokane County Emergency Management post on Facebook.

For the latest information on the area under evacuation orders you can visit the Spokane County Evacuation Zone Lookup.

For those that must leave the area affected by the wildfire, authorities have announced that the updated Red Cross Fire Evacuation Meeting Point today locate at Shriners Event Center, 7217 W Westbow Blvd, 99224 and it will open at 6pm.
