Will Smith admitted to a luxury rehab clinic after Chris Rock Oscars slap

A Hollywood source has told spoken to British outlet The Sun saying that the actor “will get help dealing with stress” after his slapping of Chris Rock.

Will Smith.

As the days go by, more and more people are speaking out about the clash at the 2022 Oscars gala, when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock after he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, his wife. From actors to musicians and family members, a large part of society wanted to give their opinion on the matter.

Apologies and rehab for Will Smith

Will, for his part, has limited himself to apologising, first to those present at the celebration where he won the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in King Richard, and then apologising to Chris and his family and friends through a statement posted on social media.

But that’s not all. Such is the barrage of information, criticism and negative comments he is receiving that he has said enough is enough. The actor has entered a luxury rehabilitation clinic to manage everything that is coming into his life after his slap of the comedian, as reported exclusively by the British newspaper The Sun.

According to a Hollywood source who contacted the tabloid, “Will is very upset. He will receive help to deal with the stress”. Not only has he been heavily criticised, but he has also lost several contracts, such as the one he signed with Netflix for the production of ‘Fast and Loose’, which has been suspended.

What next? Will Smith resurfaces nine thousand miles from Hollywood

What next for Will Smith’s career?

Will Smith has entered of his own free will, choosing a centre frequented by other US celebrities. What remains to be seen now is how long he will remain in hospital.

“This is undoubtedly the toughest battle of his career. It will be a high-end retreat used by the rich and famous, and he will do a lot of soul-searching and figure out how he can move on,” the source told The Sun.

“He hopes to move on so he can come back and save his reputation and career. His resignation speech raises the possibility that he fears he may be stripped of his Oscar. That would be a blow to him,” the person concluded.
