World’s most expensive dog sold for more than 5 million: “It looks like a wolf”.
The animal was sold to an Indian tycoon, and above all, the buyer wants his acquisition to be a major attraction.
The breed attributed to this dog is the Cadabomb Okami, a rare cross between a wolf and a Caucasian Shepherd, making it an extremely uncommon and unique hybrid in the world of dog breeds.
The buyer of this extraordinary dog, who has spent over €5 million, is S. Sathish, a well-known dog collector from Bangalore, India. Sathish already owns over 150 different breeds, including a chow chow that closely resembles a Qinling panda due to its brown color, for which he paid more than €3 million.
A dog that looks like a wolf
Okami is one of the most exotic and exclusive dogs to arrive in India, and Sathish proudly speaks about his new purchase: “This breed has never been sold before. That’s why I gladly paid 50 million rupees (about €5.3 million) for him. I like introducing unique dogs to India.” He added, “He looks exactly like a wolf.”

To showcase this rarity, Sathish has taken Okami to movie premieres and high-profile events, where the dog has attracted massive public interest across India.
From breeding dogs to showcasing them
The Indian collector used to breed dogs himself, but three years ago, he stopped, thanks to the massive fortune he has accumulated. “Now, I earn enough by exhibiting my rare pets.
At an event, I can easily charge €2,500 for half an hour or €10,500 for five hours. People are always curious to see these rare animals in person. My dog and I get more attention at movie screenings than the actors. We are real crowd-pullers.”
His passion for rare breeds and public fascination have turned Sathish into a notable figure in India’s animal lover community.
Luxury and Security for His Precious Dogs For Sathish, his dogs are his greatest treasures, aside from his immense wealth. Each of his pets has a 36-square-meter kennel on his estate, which is protected by a three-meter-high wall and a high-tech security system to prevent theft.
“I employ six caretakers, and all my dogs eat a raw diet. For example, Okami eats about 3 kilograms of raw chicken per day. My property spans 7 hectares, so they all have plenty of space to run,” Sathish concluded.
