Adar, leader of the orcs

The third episode of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, the orcs seem to revere an unknown -for now- named Adar. It is not surprising that they do so, since he is nothing more and nothing less than their leader, something like the patriarch of the Southlands. As a curiosity, in Sindarin, the most common language among the elves, the meaning of Adar is 'Father".

As you may know, the origin of the orcs is uncertain and becomes a topic of debate regularly, as there are many theories and legends spread within Tolkien's universe. Among them all, the most widespread in The Silmarillion is that they were created as a result of the corruption of Melkor / Morgoth, mixing human and elven genes. We will soon find out what the relationship is with this enigmatic villain.

Adar, played by actor Joseph Mawle (Game of Thrones), desperately seeks a mysterious talisman that will surely play a key role in the future of the story. We will have to wait a bit to put a face to it. In just a few days episode 4 will be available, and in this link you have the release date of all the others.
