The Resident Evil 4 Remake demo hides a secret extreme difficulty mode

Fans are discovering that the Resident Evil 4 Remake demo has an extreme difficulty mode, but triggering it is almost as hard as the mode itself.

Update:
The Resident Evil 4 Remake demo hides a secret extreme difficulty mode

The Resident Evil 4 Remake demo that Capcom released just a few days ago hides a very special surprise for fans. In addition to the standard experience, you can play it from start to finish on “Mad Chainsaw” mode, an "extreme difficulty" that alters combat by changing how much health you have and the damage you deal, as well as the number of enemies on screen.

Its appearance is completely random: there seems to be no way of triggering it yourself. If you are one of the lucky ones, a screen announcing the mode will appear before starting a new game. It is optional, meaning that you can reject the challenge to play it on normal difficulty, but if you do so you’ll have to wait until it’s activated again at random.

Capcom notes that this difficulty mode is “exclusive to the demo and will not be included in the full game.” You can find a photo of the screen below, from a Spanish speaking user:
