Souvenirs in Pokémon GO are small gifts that our Pokémon Friends can randomly give us if we have a high enough friendship level with them. On this page of the Pokémon GO Guide, we will show you how to get Souvenirs from your Pokémon Buddies and what they are for:
What are souvenirs in Pokémon GO, and how do you get them?
Souvenirs are items that your Pokémon buddy can randomly give you if you have a certain level of friendship with them. We need to be at least “Ultra Buddy” with our Pokémon buddy in order for them to give us Souvenirs. You can do this by earning a total of 150 Hearts with your Pokémon Buddy.
When a Pokémon Buddy has a souvenir for us to collect, a small gift wrapped in leaves and a flower will appear in the Buddy’s tab. To collect it, do the following:
- On the World Map, tap the portrait of our Pokémon buddy next to our player avatar.
- In the Pokémon Buddy Summary, a small gift should appear next to our Buddy. Click on “PLAY!
- If our Pokémon is on the screen, the gift should appear near it. Click on the gift.
- The souvenir opens and its contents are revealed.
What are souvenirs for in Pokémon GO?
Souvenirs brought to us by our Pokémon companions are not for their own sake, but to earn extra Hearts from them.
These additional Hearts will appear in the “Bonus” section of the Daily Heart Summary for that Buddy Pokémon.
