007: First Light confirms Lana Del Rey as its official theme song ahead of the James Bond game’s release

The upcoming game confirms an original song composed alongside veteran Bond film composer David Arnold.

Update:

The upcoming James Bond game, 007: First Light, promises to be a complete experience for players. After all, no James Bond experience would be complete without a theme song. It was confirmed today that Lana Del Rey will be lending her voice to the theme song for IO Interactive’s upcoming title, titled First Light.

The song was written and composed by Lana Del Rey, in collaboration with David Arnold, the composer of several Bond film scores, including ‘Die Another Day’, ‘The World Is Not Enough’, and ‘Casino Royale’. You can watch the lyric video below:

News of Lana Del Rey’s involvement had leaked a few months ago, when users discovered the song ‘First Light’ registered with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). This isn’t the artist’s first foray into the James Bond universe; her song “24” was previously considered as a potential theme song for the 24th 007 film, SPECTRE.
