A shell-shocking legacy
Released in 1990, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the first live-action adaptation of the beloved comic and animated series. Directed by Steve Barron and featuring costumes by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, the film became the highest-grossing independent movie of its time, earning over $200 million worldwide.
With its mix of martial arts action, practical effects, and pizza-fueled humor, the movie helped launch the Turtles into pop culture legend.
Where to get tickets
Fans can book seats now through Fathom Entertainment, with screenings taking place in select theaters nationwide. Whether you’re reliving your childhood or introducing the next generation to Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael, this is a rare chance to see the original heroes in a half shell on the big screen.
