A deleted ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ scene reveals Gambit’s fate at the end of the movie

Ryan Reynolds surprised all of his X followers when he posted a video with a deleted scene from ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ in which Gambit (Channing Tatum) survived the attack suffered by Allioth in The Void, walking among the dead from the previous fight, and thus presumably returning to his universe, ending with a look towards the camera with a reflection known to those who saw the film. Furthermore, the protagonist of the film points out in a thread that “a version of the sequence is in the film - on one of the monitors in the deep background of the TVA”, which is the post-credits sequence, in which behind Deadpool there are several televisions.

The Void is a place located at the end of time, where characters from various timelines end up exiled. The X-Men mutant fell there, along with Johnny Storm, Wolverine, and Deadpool. In that almost vacant land is where Cassandra Nova reigns and Allioth devours anything who enters there and seeks to return to their universe.

Will Gambit continue in the MCU?

With this scene removed, every user wonders what will happen to the mutant, since it was proven that he is still alive. Will the time come to see him in the next big MCU productions? Or perhaps after years of the project being in the freezer, Gambit will have his own solo film, due to the success and acceptance of his participation in the film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
