A hundred years before the war for the Iron Throne and the Night King’s invasion, an errant Knight and his squire travel the Seven Kingdoms… and now we know when we’ll get to watch it.

El Caballero de los Siete Reinos

The raw fantasy universe of George R.R. Martin will return to Max a year after the premiere of the second season of ‘House of the Dragon’. HBO has already announced that ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ would be released in 2025, but the company has not revealed a more specific window until now. According to JB Perrette, director of Warner Bros. Discovery, the new series set in the world of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ will see the light in the summer of next year. However, sources consulted by Variety point to a somewhat later release, towards the last quarter of the year.

Martin, who has acknowledged that ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ has been one of the only television projects of the year that he has enjoyed doing, has also assured that this story has a different tone compared to ‘Game of Thrones’ and other spin-offs of the saga. Based on the book of the same name, the series takes place a century before the events of the main series. It tells the adventures and adventures of the young knight Ser Duncan the Tall, who is accompanied by his faithful squire Egg, in a time when the Targaryens still rule the Seven Kingdoms, although dragons have long been extinct. Or at least that’s what they think, because decades later they would fly over the sky again with another Targaryen on their back.

‘House of the Dragon’ will skip 2025

The Dance of the Dragons has not ended. The war of succession after Aegon II Targaryen’s rise to the throne continues to destroy the lives of innocents, as the massive beasts leave fire, blood, bones, and ash in their wake. As Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen fights her enemies, The scale of the conflict only grows. New alliances are forged, betrayals occur in King’s Landing and the fate of Westeros remains in question. Despite the criticism of the second season, to which George R.R., Martin himself joined, the platform has announced its renewal for a third batch of episodes. The plan is for it to have four seasons in total.
