‘A Minecraft Movie’ gets its first official poster with a Creeper as the main star

After an extremely divisive first trailer, ‘A Minecraft Movie’ has revealed its first official poster, and it’s one of the game’s most iconic monsters.

At the time of its launch, very few could imagine the phenomenon that Minecraft would become. It is a title that changed the video game industry and without anyone expecting it managed to sell millions of copies and become one of the most popular games in the world. Imagination is the limit, but even so few could see that a license like Minecraft would have its own movie, but that’s exactly what happened, as it’s set to release in 2025.

The film starring Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen already has its first trailer and official release date, April 4, 2025, and at the same time the studio also revealed its first poster. The protagonist of it? The mythical Creeper, the most recognizable enemy in the game, and an icon recognized worldwide thanks to its green appearance and very characteristic features.

Imagination is the only limit in Minecraft

A Minecraft Movie’ will mix live-action actors with an unsettingly detailed version of the Mojang title, giving it a style that both sticks firmly to the identity of the game, while at the same time being an upgrade that feels… off.

The Minecraft universe continues to expand with titles like Minecraft Legends and its movie. A game that has been and continues to be key for thousands of content creators worldwide, forging all kinds of stories and creating characters and situations to remember thanks to the power of imagination.
