‘A Quiet Place’s official game gets its first, terrifying trailer

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will continue the stories in the post-apocalyptic world of the movies, with a release date set for this year.

Perhaps it may come as a surprise to those that aren’t up to date with every single piece of news from the entertainment industries, but A Quiet Place is about to break out from the big screen and into the interactive medium of videogames. ‘A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead’ is the game that will expand the world created by the now famous horror franchise, and the ambition project by Stormind Games with help from Saber Interactive just got its first trailer.

‘A Quiet Place’ comes to the world of video games

The studio promises that the story that the game will tell is an unprecedented story arc through the eyes of other survivors of the conflict. “A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, the upcoming first-person single-player horror game from developer Stormind and publisher Saber Interactive that’s inspired by the movies of the same name. You play as Alex, an asthmatic college student trying to survive the end of the world with her boyfriend Martin.”

You won’t need to know the universe of the film to enjoy it. The creators of the game mention that it’s also designed for fans of horror games. It seems more linear than a pure survival horror, but you will have to solve certain puzzles to overcome obstacles in this world in permanent danger. Remember: the monsters out there hunt with their ears. Stepping on glass or dropping a bottle of beer can mean a slow and painful death at the hands of these predators.

At the moment it does not have a release date, although they hope to be able to do so at some point in the remainder of 2024. The game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
