Activision confirms CoD Modern Warfare 3 leak with an unprecedented feature

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has been confirmed as 2023′s CoD title, and your MW2 inventory will carry forward into the new game.

The leaks surrounding Call of Duty are an increasingly widespread topic. This year’s delivery already has a name and subtitle: it will be Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. The news was broken by an Activision complaint about some leaked images of an alpha version of the game, which in turn revealed the name of the upcoming game.

Among the data extracted from the leak (collected by CharlieIntel) appeared the possibility of carrying over all operators, weapons, and cosmetic packs purchased in the current title, Modern Warfare 2, to Modern Warfare 3. Activision stepped in by asking its players if they would like it to happen. The only two answers in the survey were “yes” and “yes, when is reveal?” It is clear that this will be one of the main features of this year and an unprecedented fact in the franchise.

When and how will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 be revealed?

Shortly after the aforementioned survey, the official Call of Duty profile on Twitter hinted at the gameplay reveal happening as part of a special event in Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, just as it happened on Black Ops Cold War. The publisher might be looking forward to players immersing themselves in a unique activity that will lead to the revelation of the first details of the game. It should take place sometime in August.

Among the data that has come to light about the game stands out a new perk system that will be linked to parts of the soldier’s clothing. For example, choosing between various types of gloves would give you a specific perk, such as the chance to get more ammo from corpses or reload faster.
