Although everything indicates that sales were not very good, it is undeniable that Alan Wake 2 is one of the best horror video games of recent years. There was a lot of expectation for the sequel to the popular Remedy Entertainment saga and at the end, Sam Lake and his team lived up to the hype generated. And now it seems like the franchise is here to stay for a long time, as both an Alan Wake movie and a TV series have been confirmed.

Remedy Entertainment announced that they’ve chosen to bring in Annapurna Interactive for co-financing their upcoming projects, looking to join forces to continue exploring their Intellectual Properties through different mediums. Annapurna will finance 50% of the development of the upcoming Control 2, the sequel to the science fiction and horror adventure starring Jesse Faden. They will also help with the production of the above mentioned movie and TV show.

At the moment, no plot details have been revealed about either, so we will have to be patient to see where they are located and what relationship they will have with the video games in the saga.

But still being in charge a delicious mix of Resident Evil and Silent Hill, the game is clear that the most important thing is its story, its world, and does not have any complexes when it comes to developing it in cinematics, endless dialogues and all kinds of texts and collectibles.
