Alien Romulus

2024 will be remembered as the year popcorn buckets got out of hand and the Popcorn Bucket Wars began. After the accidental success by ‘Dune Part 2′ and ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ jumping on the trend with one of the most obscene popcorn buckets known to man, it’s time to meet the one that will come with the release of the upcoming Alien: Romulus.

Via their X account (formerly Twitter), Cinemark Theaters has unveiled this giant Xenomorph head that can be filled with popcorn. This popcorn bucket has one aspect that attracts a lot of attention, both for its enormous size, more similar to the final design of the upcoming Alien, as well as its terrifying look, perfect for lovers of the saga started by Ridley Scott. The compartment to fill it with popcorn (or any other snack once you have it at home) is located at the top, allowing easy access to the food. And from the looks of the video, it’s a big one.

For now, Cinemark has not announced a price or an exact date when the Xenomorph popcorn bucket will be available, only mentioning in the tweet that it will be “coming soon to theaters. Considering that Alien: Romulus is not scheduled for release until August 16th, it is likely that this popcorn bucket will not be available until then.

‘Alien Romulus’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2024, the return of one of the most popular sagas of cinema will do it again betting on the purest space terror, and the Uruguayan director Fede Alvarez is in charge of doing it. The movie takes place 20 years after the first installment of the saga and enters fully into the canon of history.

The synopsis of ‘Alien Romulus’ reads as follows: “A group of young people on a distant world find themselves in a confrontation with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”
