Alien vs Predator: who won when the two monsters faced off in the movies?

The Xenomorph and the Predator (Yautja) have actually faced off several times. Who’s the strongest of both?

‘Alien Romulus’ opens in theaters on August 15, and expectations are at maximum with fans of the long-running horror and science fiction saga created by Ridley Scott dying to see it. There’s not much left before it releases, but the next two weeks can be very long, so it’s still a good time to enjoy the franchise by reviewing some very interesting details about it. For example, everyone knows that the Xenomorphs from ‘Alien’ have been fighting the Predators/Yautja (from ‘Predator’) for centuries, but who is the stronger of the two, and who won in the movies?

The first thing to keep in mind is that, although both species are aliens, their morphology and the way they understand survival are very different. The Xenomorph is a creature much closer to the animal kingdom; born hunters who hide in the shadows and attack their victims when they least expect it using their sharp tails, claws, and jaws.

The Predator or Yautja, on the other hand, acts in a much more similar way to humans, since they are part of a much more intelligent and technologically advanced species. In a one-on-one duel, they are much stronger than a Xenomorph and have weapons potential and various devices that allow them to easily prevail, but there is one detail that is worth keeping in mind: Xenomorphs can attack in very large groups.

In ‘Predator 2′, the Yautja ship has a Xenomorph skull as a trophy. This an unequivocal sign that long before the events that occurred in ‘Alien vs. Predator’, this species already knew what it was like to hunt Xenomorphs. In ‘Alien vs. Predator’, the first film in which they are seen fighting face to face, the Xenomorphs emerge victorious after killing the three teenage Predators in combat, but it comes at the cost of hundreds of Xenomorph drones AND a Queen.

In ‘Alien vs. Predator: Requiem’, the Predalien (a creature born from the fusion of the cells of both species) kills numerous Predators. The disparity when choosing a clear winner means that it does not exist as such since everything depends on the circumstances and context of each battle.
