Pokémon Presents summary: Scarlet and Violet DLC, Stadium 2 on Switch Online and other news
New trailers and updates for most titles were among the big announcements at this special Pokémon presentation.
After 35 minutes, we got a glimpse of what the near future of Pokémon will look like in 2023 and beyond, with a number of new features and previews of some of the previously announced content. Read on for all the details.
Pokémon World Championship 2023
After 35 minutes, we witnessed the near future of Pokémon for 2023 and beyond, with a number of new features and previews of some of the previous ones. The event kicked off with information about the tournament that will take place this weekend. Some of the merchandise that will be part of the event was revealed, such as the backpack, Pikachu plush and, for the first time, a commemorative Pokémon TCG card for the event.
In addition to information about the events that will be taking place during the event, Pokémon Path to the Peak, an anime focusing on the Pokémon TCG, was also announced, which will have its premiere during the event and will also be shown on Friday 11th August. Read on for all the details.
Detective Pikachu Returns
A new trailer of everyone’s favorite talking Pikachu was unveiled, where we met more of the characters that will be part of this new story, as well as some of the new gameplay it will feature. Detective Pikachu Returns will be available for Nintendo Switch on 6 October.
Pokémon Horizons The Series
A new trailer for the new Pokémon series has been released, and although there is no release date for this side of the world, it is said to be coming soon.
Pokémon Go
Details of Pokémon GO Fest 2023 have been announced, including the arrival of Mega Rayquaza as part of the global event. Starting in September, the game’s Pokedex will be expanded to include Pokémon from Paldea.
Pokémon Unite
As part of its anniversary event, Mewtwo will be back in the game.
Pokémon Masters EX
Nemona from Scarlet & Violet is coming to Pokémon Masters from the 8th of August to celebrate her fourth anniversary.
Pokémon Cafe Remix
Tatusiri and its three forms will be part of the new event.
Nintendo Switch Online
Pokémon Trading Card Game and Pokémon Stadium 2 were announced as games to be added to the service today.
Pokémon Sleep
A new update to Pokémon Sleep will see Snorlax’s Drowsy Power become more powerful on full moon nights, attracting more Pokémon.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Finally, the latest title in the franchise had a number of related announcements.
Pokémon Paldean Winds
This will be a new original web series focusing on the students of the game’s Academy. This series will premiere on September 6th.
Get Mew & Mewtwo

Hidden Treasure of Area Zero
A new trailer has been released focusing on the first part, The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk, showing new areas and characters, as well as some of the mini-games that will be available. The release date for The Teal Mask is 13th September and The Indigo Disk will be available in winter 2023.
