All new weapons and items in Shock ‘N Awesome, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4

Shock ‘N Awesome is the new season of Fortnite, which kicks off on Thursday, August 7. Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 focuses on an invasion of bugs, which requires an arsenal to match in order to face this new threat. All new weapons and items from Shock ‘N Awesome, the new season of Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 has added a host of new weapons and items. As Epic Games reveals in the blog post on its official website, this is the new content added in this section:

Weapons and bugs items

• Bug Blaster: fires explosive plasma projectiles, or we can fire charged projectiles to inflict much more damage.
• Roly Poly: this insect can be the ideal method of transport. We can roll around and bounce across the map, or charge to move at impressive speeds.

Bug weapons and items are a new category debuting this season. Some intrepid islanders have managed to use various bugs against the rest of the hive.

New weapons and items

• Swarmstrike: New rocket launcher with laser sight that fires volleys of micro-missiles.
• Sweeper Shotgun: New O.X.R. shotgun with immense damage at close range and moderate rate of fire.
• O.X.R. Rifle: New O.X.R. assault rifle with medium damage, power, and rate of fire.
• Blade Blaster: the iconic secondary pistol of the Power Rangers. It is an unguided cannon that fires rapid shots or charged bursts.
• Leadspitter 3000: a new minigun with a huge rate of fire, perfect for mowing down lots of bugs in a short time.
• Wrecker Revolver: New O.X.R. pistol that deals heavy damage but has a reduced rate of fire.

Among the new weapons are themed weapons from O.X.R., the faction that fights the bugs directly, as well as the legendary Power Rangers pistol.

New Exotic weapons and items

• Eradicator O.X.R. Rifle: After successfully hitting an enemy, its damage ramps up with subsequent successful hits.
• Double Trouble: Two shotguns that can be double-pumped (swapped between with no delay).
• Shock n’ Slow Shockwave Launcher: Lobs Shockwave Grenades that cause a slowdown effect mid-air to both enemies and allies.
• Marksman Wrecker Revolver: Wrecker Revolver but with a higher hip fire rate and headshot multiplier.
• Exotic Slap Berry Fizz: Flowberry Fizz that also grants Slap.

Exotic weapons and items are also present: these are optimized versions or versions with additional properties of some of the new weapons debuting this season. They provide a significant advantage in combat, making them highly coveted.

New Boons

• Agile Aiming Boon: While aiming down sights, your recoil and spread will be reduced and you’ll maintain more of your movement speed.
• Extended Magazine Boon: Increases clip size for all your weapons.
• Storm Forecast Boon: The next Storm circle is always revealed to you.
• Super Soldier Ranked Boons (exclusively from O.X.R. Drop Pods) - [Super Soldier Boon: Rank B] Reduces Energy consumption when sprinting, [Super Soldier Boon: Rank A] Rank B ability + increases reload speed, [Super Soldier Boon: Rank S] Rank B and A abilities + reduces weapon recoil and spread., [Super Soldier Boon: Rank S+] Rank B, A, and S abilities + increases sprint speed and gives you unlimited Energy.

Boons are back this new season. This mechanic, introduced in Chapter 6, allows us to gain advantages by accumulating the corresponding Boons. As you can see, the abilities they grant can help us win games.

New Medallions

• Surge Medallion: Obtained by defeating the Queen at The Hive. Increases movement speed and boosts speed when sliding.
• Springleg Medallion: Obtained by defeating the Queen at Ranger’s Ruin. Grants double jump ability and immunity to fall damage.
• Carapace Medallion: Obtained by defeating the Queen at Demon’s Domain. Grants 50 health when eliminating an opponent and passive shield regeneration of 3 per second up to a maximum of 50 shield.

Boss Medallions are back this season. Similar to Boons, obtaining them gives us significant advantages, although it’s true that getting them won’t be easy. Are you willing to take the risk?

The new weapons and items introduced during Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 are a design decision and offer a clear example of the arsenal required to take on the bugs. There are many powerful firearms that offer multiple options for dealing with the insects, new AI-controlled enemies that will make the games more interesting.
