Insomniac Games

An actor confirms that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is in the works: Peter Parker “won’t be relegated to the couch”

The actor, who lends his voice to Peter Parker, confirms that the original Spider-Man will still be an important part of the third game.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Insomniac Games is currently working on Marvel’s Wolverine, but that doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten about the wall-crawler. After the huge sales success of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, all signs point to a third installment, which has just been confirmed by Yuri Lowenthal, the actor who voices Peter Parker in the Spider-Man saga.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 canceled all the additional content that was supposed to arrive after its launch, including a rumored DLC with Venom as the protagonist, but our friend and neighbor still has a lot to say. At the end of the game, Parker passes the baton to Miles Morales as the protector of Manhattan, and while everything seemed to indicate that it was for good, it seems that it may not be.

“There are very few things that I can say about this game, but you have somehow landed on the one thing that I can answer, and that’s that, yes, Peter is not gone,” Lowenthal told The Direct. “He will be a part of the next game and he won’t be relegated to the couch, I promise.”

When will Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 be released?

And it is that the expected debut of the Green Goblin, in the skin of one of the Osborn - Harry reveals his evil side, still possessed by the symbiote - would make even more sense with Peter Parker in the fray. According to leaked studio files, this game would be released in 2028, after the spin-off with Venom in 2025, which seems to have been canceled for good, and Marvel’s Wolverine in 2026. The existence of an X-Men game was also revealed, which would not arrive until 2030. However, it should be noted that these documents could have undergone some obvious changes, and the development of the game starring Wolverine is causing some headaches for Insomniac.
