Angel City FC partners with Football Manager to advance women’s soccer

The collaboration combines technology, data, and storytelling to elevate the women’s game worldwide.

Update:

Angel City Football Club (ACFC) has announced a new and innovative partnership with Football Manager (FM). This collaboration unites ACFC’s mission of driving change on and off the field with FM’s commitment to realism and immersion, particularly as the franchise prepares to introduce women’s soccer in the upcoming FM26. This partnership goes beyond a traditional sponsorship, acting as a two-way street designed to boost the professionalization and visibility of the women’s game.

The direct impact on ACFC’s performance

The most significant immediate benefit to the NWSL club is the integration of high-level analytical tools. ACFC will leverage Football Manager’s massive database and detailed metrics to strengthen its strategic operations. Firstly, the club plans to utilize the game’s extensive data to enhance its scouting and recruitment processes. By accessing FM’s detailed statistical models, ACFC gains new, deep insights into player performance and potential from leagues around the world, giving them a competitive edge in securing talent. Secondly, the partnership will directly support the growth of ACFC’s coaching network, providing coaching staff with new tools and resources, allowing them to gain deeper analytical insights into opponent strategies and player development, which will positively impact the team’s on-field performance.

“This partnership not only gives our coaches and players new tools and insights, but also ensures that the world gets to experience Angel City’s story in the game,” said Matt Wade, Assistant General Manager of ACFC.

Raising visibility for female athletes

Beyond the technical enhancements, the alliance serves a broader goal: increasing the exposure of the women’s game to a massive global audience. Fans will benefit from exclusive content featuring ACFC players and coaching staff, created in collaboration with Football Manager and shared across the club’s official platforms. As Sports Interactive Studio Director Miles Jacobson noted, this move is about more than just a collaboration with one team. “By working with a trailblazing club like Angel City we’re not just supporting a team, we’re showing what’s possible when football and technology unite.”

Football Manager 26 arrives to PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5 on November 4.
