Anya Taylor-Joy’s big dream is to take part in this great sci-fi saga: “I watched that movie eight times in a row”
After her triumphs in ‘Furiosa’ and ‘Queen’s Gambit’, the actress would love to work with James Cameron.

Anya Taylor-Joy may be one step closer to fulfilling one of her biggest movie dreams: being a part of the ‘Avatar’ saga. While on the red carpet for ‘The Gorge,’ her new film alongside Miles Teller and Sigourney Weaver, the young actress got a big surprise when an Entertainment Tonight reporter revealed a special comment from her iconic co-star.
Weaver, who plays Kiri in Avatar: The Way of Water', expressed her desire for James Cameron to see ‘The Gorge’, as she was part of the actress' great performance in the movie and is convinced that Taylor-Joy would make a great role in future sequels of the successful sci-fi saga. Upon hearing this, the Queen’s Gambit star couldn’t hide her excitement and responded enthusiastically: “Dead. Dead. Oh my God. It is like my dream to be a Na’vi. I watched that movie eight times in a row once.”
Anya Taylor-Joy would be a great addition to the Avatar universe
Taylor-Joy also confessed that her love for the 2009 movie is so great that she watched it eight times in a row after a party, despite its long-running time. She considers herself a huge fan of the world of Pandora and all the characters Cameron created, no doubt about it.
Considering that the director has plans to make several more ‘Avatar’ movies and that Sigourney Weaver is an actress he greatly respects, it would not be unreasonable for Anya Taylor-Joy to join the cast of one of them soon. After all, she is one of the great actresses of her generation and has already been nominated for a Golden Globe, an Emmy and a BAFTA. What do you think?
