Are there bots in Warzone Mobile? Why has the game become so easy?

If you’ve noticed that your recent Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile matches have gotten easier, there’s a reason for it.

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile arrived on March 21 to bring the experience of this battle royale to smaller screens and in a portable format. However, since a few days ago and after a recent update by Activision, users have begun to notice something strange in the game: the title has become easeier than before and it seems that the bots are to blame.

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile and the use of bots

Before its launch, and even with more than 50 million pre-registered players since its announcement, Activision had confirmed that this version of its battle royale would use bots to facilitate aspects such as game balance and faster matchmaking. However, it appears that something has gone wrong in the lobbies, creating an imbalance that is affecting the game.

Following the release of the Season 3 update for Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile on April 3rd, users began to notice issues with the number of in-game bots. Users have taken to Reddit to voice their complaints, which have increased over the past few days. Players have taken to the social network to report that their kills have increased, not because of skill issues or matchmaking problems, but because of the number of bots that have appeared in the game. Even though these bots are part of their teams, they are at a disadvantage against teams that are commanded by human players.

For now, it remains to be seen how the developers will solve this imbalance that affects Call of Duty Warzone Mobile. Either the AI of the bots will be increased to function more realistically (considering that these bots are easily detectable due to their erratic behavior), or simply that the number of bots will return to the original number as they were at launch. On the other hand, it may also be an opportunity for very new shooter and battle royale players to jump in and experiment (and slowly level up).
