Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals his favorite and his most hated workouts

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the biggest and largest movie action hero ever, has revealed how he stayed in shape for decades to become his various massive characters.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most famous superstars in both Hollywood and the world of bodybuilding, a true legend who today, at 77 years old, continues to make waves in the entertainment industry, whether with his recent series ‘FUBAR’ on Netflix or even as the Terminator just five years ago, with ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’. But what is his secret to staying in shape for decades to be the ultimate action hero? Arnie himself tells it in his book ‘Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life’, in which he shares his best tips for staying fit and for life in general.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s favorite exercise

The favorite bodybuilding exercise of Arnold Schwarzenegger can come as a surprise. Let us remember that he is a true fitness scholar and that has created a school by helping to design many of the movements and exercises that are still widely used today among those who practice bodybuilding, in addition to his famous ‘Arnold press’, which strengthens shoulders and arms in a single movement.

However, the actor chooses another exercise that is even more practical and complete: “If you have to do only one thing, ‘clean and press’. It covers everything,” says the actor in relation to the well-known compound movement that works for several muscle groups at the same time, lifting dumbbells or a barbell from the floor to above your head with your arms stretched.

And what about the exercise that Schwarzenegger hates the most?

Instead, the exercise most hated by the famous actor and bodybuilding star is none other than the abdominal twist, his real nightmare. “They are bad for the back and do not reduce locally”, he assures. “People think that if they turn from here to eternity, they can turn,” and no, Not so, concludes Schwarzenegger. Be that as it may, the actor has worked hard for decades to remain the great action hero that he was during the 80s, 90s, and even early 2000s. Even Stallone, his eternal rival and now friend, confirms this.
