Assassin’s Creed Shadows multiplayer mode still in development; expansion expected in September
Ubisoft continues working on the cooperative mode, while the first major expansion nears release.

According to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, Ubisoft is still developing a co-op multiplayer mode for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, despite not officially announcing it yet.
The mode, internally known as LEAGUE, is expected to launch in 2026. Initially, Henderson believed it would focus on Naoe and Yasuke fighting side by side, but new sources suggest the story will expand beyond the main protagonists, allowing players to control additional characters.
Claws of Awaji expansion: September release?
The Claws of Awaji expansion will add 10 hours of new content, taking place after the game’s epilogue. While Ubisoft has yet to confirm an exact release date, sources indicate it is planned for September, though a delay to October remains possible.
Ubisoft recently unveiled its Year 1 roadmap, confirming that Claws of Awaji is scheduled for this year, but without a firm date. The game is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with more updates expected in the coming months.
