Avengers: Doomsday is revealed in its first trailer, confirming all speculation
The first official look brings back Chris Evans’ Captain America for Marvel’s 2026 event.

The last few weeks have been full of leaks related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and everything that awaits us in 2026 related to these productions. After much anticipation, we finally have the first official look at Avengers: Doomsday.
As announced last week, this trailer, which appeared prior to the premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash, makes one thing clear: Marvel Studios is bringing back Steve Rogers. Everything that had been described at the time is there: a married Steve Rogers, storing Captain America’s suit, and holding a child in his arms. It all ends with the now legendary “Steve Rogers Will Return In Avengers: Doomsday,” concluding with the previously seen countdown to its premiere.
The long wait for Doomsday
Waiting almost a year for the release of Avengers: Doomsday sounds like a very long wait. But before that, we’ll have some incentives to help us see what’s next for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Steve Rogers’ return. On the one hand, we’ll have Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, where we’ll see what has happened to the arachnid after everyone forgets who he really is on July 31.
On the other hand, movie theaters will once again be filled with what was one of the high points of superhero cinema with the re-release of Avengers: Endgame, which will hit theaters on September 25. Will this movie be important for Doomsday? Or is it simply a strategy to continue raising money for Marvel Studios?
