Avengers: Doomsday is revealed once again in a teaser focused on Thor: “Now fate has given me something I never sought”

Little by little, the teaser trailers for Avengers: Doomsday are being released, having been leaked from screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash. And while we’ve already seen the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, now it’s time to see another Chris. This time, Marvel Studios has released a short teaser featuring Chris Hemsworth as Thor. You can watch it below:

The Return of the God of Thunder

The teaser follows a short prayer by Thor, asking for the strength to fight again. The God of Thunder himself acknowledges that he has always answered the call, but now having a daughter, “untouched by the storm,” has changed his perspective on life to something he himself describes as “never sought.” The prayer, addressed to Odin, asks him to return after the battle to show him a world where he does not have to fight. The trailer closes with the caption “Thor Will Return In Avengers: Doomsday” followed by the countdown that the Russos revealed a few days ago.

So far, both the Thor and Captain America trailers follow a theme of fatherhood and caregiving. Is this connected to Doctor Doom’s appearance at the end of Fantastic Four: First Steps with Franklin Richards? Will he go after all the firstborns? Or are we just connecting the few dots we’re seeing so far?

There is still a long way to go before we find out what Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released on December 18, 2026, has in store for us. And while we still don’t know exactly when it will be, leaks suggest that we will soon see a trailer, now focused on the X-Men.
